Welcome to Los Cabos

Los Cabos is a stunning region located at the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula, about 900 miles southeast of San Diego. Just 50 miles north of Land’s End lies the Tropic of Cancer. The area’s two main tourist destinations are Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo. In the 1950s, Hollywood celebrities began flying to Cabo for world-class fishing. When a paved highway from Tijuana opened in 1974, tourism grew even more rapidly. Today, Los Cabos consists of three main areas: Cabo San Lucas, the Los Cabos Corridor, and San José del Cabo. It’s one of the world’s rare “tropical deserts,” receiving only 7 inches of rain annually and enjoying year-round sunshine, low humidity, and refreshing Pacific breezes-key reasons behind its lasting popularity.
